“If things start happening, don’t worry, don’t stew, just go right along and you’ll start happening too.”    ―      Dr. Seuss

This quote by Dr Seuss sums up our path to becoming a vendor in the Luckett’s Spring Market. Our passion for finding beautiful vintage and antique items along with our creative side was becoming difficult to rein in.  We wanted and needed a bigger forum. But Luckett’s- the absolutely fabulous antique and vintage decor store located a few miles north of Leesburg, VA?

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.”    ―      Dr. Seuss

Why not!  Timing is everything.  No sooner did we start discussing the possibility of doing the Luckett’s Spring Market, and we’re already on the internet looking up the details.  Yikes!  Application process opens in 3 days at 10am, new vendors are limited (due to high number of last years vendors already signing up), and applications are accepted first come, first serve (this means check in hand).  Ok, now we are determined. Tuesday morning 10am: download application, and with only two hours in an already commitment packed day, we drive the two hours roundtrip, run the application and check inside, and proceed to ask “Are we in?” “yes”  “you sure we’re in?” “YES!”.  Unfortunately, our time deficit didn’t allow time to shop or barely look around.  Of course we did do a quick once around the first floor, and for those of you who know us that was soooooooo hard.

With all that said and done, look at what arrived in the mail this week-

Wahoo!  It’s official and we are excited.  This blog, among other things, will highlight our journey to the Luckett’s Spring Market May 19th and 20th, 2012.

92 days to go.  Hope you join us and enjoy reading about our journey.
